Lafaut has expanded its hatchery activities to the Netherlands as of April 1, 2026. Under the name Broederij Lafaut Elsendorp, it will make use of the hatchery facilities of Janssen Hatchery Service, located in Elsendorp since 1952.

With this development, Lafaut takes another step in its continued expansion. The move strengthens Lafaut’s position in Europe and increases its capacity to support customers with high-quality day-old chicks.

The Elsendorp location integrates seamlessly with existing operations in Belgium and France. By continuing to invest in strong local presence combined with international expertise, Lafaut is building a stable and future-oriented organization.

For customers, this step ensures continuity and reinforcement: the same focus on quality, biosecurity, and careful follow-up, supported by a broader network and increased capacity.

The expansion was officially confirmed by Koen Lafaut, in the presence of his daughter Angela and son Maxim, highlighting not only the company’s growth but also its family character and forward-looking vision.

With Broederij Lafaut Elsendorp, Lafaut continues to build a sustainable presence in Europe, maintaining the same personal approach and quality standards customers rely on every day.
